Pumpkin contains ketones of beta-carotene; within the body it is broken down into vitamin A which is important for biological functions. It is also rich in botanical cellulose, and it tastes sweet, something which dogs prefer, This suits dogs with picky palates, dogs who need to lose weight, and dogs who have weak gastrointestinal constitution.
Broccoli in both nutritional content and in prevention of diseases far exceeds other vegetables in the same groupings, rich in dietary fibre, vitamin C, calcium, and other nutrients, perfect for keeping a dog’s spleen and skeleton healthy, cauliflower has anti-oxidant effects, strengthening the skin and preventing it from being easily damaged. Ingestion of broccoli can prevent constipation and diabetes.
Carrots are vegetables high in water content and fibre, rich in carotene, which can be metabolized into vitamin A within the dog’s body. It contains lignin, boosting the powers of the macrophages, and therefore boosting the immune-system. Carrots are suitable for dieting pets as well as diabetic pets.
Brewers’ yeast contains vitamins of the B group, complete amino acids, vitamins, minerals, proteins, as well as dietary fibre, an excellent nutritional supplement. The sharp taste of beer yeast is something palatable to pets and they will enjoy.
